How to resolve errors when running After Effects on Mac OS (The Common Extensibility Platform (CEP) suite couldn’t be loaded. You may need to reinstall.)

When I run After Effects, the following error appears and I cannot start it.

The Common Extensibility Platform (CEP) suite couldn’t be loaded. You may need to reinstall.

The solution is surprisingly simple.

Change the access permissions of ‘document’ > ‘Adobe’ folders to “read/write”.
